My family adopted two kittens from a family friend. One of them was a black kitten with a tiny white stripe on his chest, and he was the sweetest kitten EVER! My mom named him Eclipse. This was in 1993, long before Twilight was even written. Given how much of a sweetheart he was, I would say that the name Eclipse means "sweet".
